The conventional inspection process (pen and paper) is very inefficient because it takes a lot of time to prepare paperwork, get it to the office, and perform regular reviews. Furthermore, inspection paperwork can be faked, lost, or damaged, and there is no guarantee that the driver even got out of the cab to perform each step of the pre-trip safety inspection.
Certick’s platform and NFC-scanning bracelet greatly increase accountability, minimize errors, and reduce the time required for pre-trip safety inspections. Drivers are guided through each inspection and must be physically present at the location of each NFC tag to perform the inspection and sign off before moving on to the next step. Certick automatically logs and reports the progress and result of each pre-trip inspection to the driver’s superiors for review.

The Certick app (available on Google Play and the Apple App Store) is the last, but not least, crucial step in the system. Each driver is guided through pre-trip safety inspections within our application. It keeps track of progress and inspection results, provides timely alerts when steps are missed or inaccuracies are detected, ensures that no steps are missed, and saves detailed inspection logs for review by the driver’s superiors. The Certick app connects to the Certick bracelet to ensure that the driver is physically present at each inspection area.

The Certick bracelet and platform are compatible with any NFC tag on the market because they all use the same technology. Through our application, it is possible to sync and rename NFC inspection tags by other manufacturers, manage inspection areas linked to the tags, and scan them during inspections.
